After spending a few hours exploring Corpus Christi, we were headed back to our room on North Padre Island when we made a wrong turn, inadvertently heading north. The sky to the west began to glow orange, mesmerizing us a bit before we corrected our mistake. Finally, we took a turnaround to head back south. As we came around the curve, we were so taken by the falling sun that we had to stop and admire the dazzling display. Getting out of the car to take a few pictures, we spied this picturesque scene of folks fishing nearby. Sometimes, wrong turns are just right.
